Glyoxylic acid

Glyoxylic Acid is widely used in hair straightener formulations, relaxations, progressive brushes, totally changing the structure of the hair shaft, allowing it to be remodeled. This acid is able to release substances known as aldehydes that promote the breaking of cystine bridges, responsible for the strength and shape of the hair fiber. Due to its high pH, when applied to the hair, Glyoxylic Acid dilates the cuticles, thus allowing the entry of the straightener active, so that it can act inside the hair, breaking a good part of the sulfur bridges and ensuring a new shape to the strands of hair, in addition to returning the natural aspect, sealed cuticles.
